To be a successful and respected project GenBonds requires its members, contributors and site visitors to observe and adhere to the following guidelines and terms.
General
- Our activities related to the project will be under the guidance of our Advisory Board, consisting of both young and grown-up (18+ years) members.
- GenBonds is a not-for-profit community project with a difference: there is no money involved. Hence, we will never request or accept any financial donations or contributions. (The project is financially supported entirely by its founders on a goodwill basis.)
- Whilst the GenBonds project aims to cater for people of all ages, we do require our members who are under 13 years of age to obtain permission from a parent or guardian before registering.
Content of Story

The subject matter and content of the story (including ideas or excerpts associated with it) must be suitable for general publication. Specifically, the content of the story (including its idea or excerpt) must not contain any material that is, or can be interpreted as having, offensive, defamatory, political or religious bias, or endorsing unlawful practices, racial or gender prejudice; or anything that the GenBonds Advisory Board deems unsuitable or incompatible with the project aims and objectives.

The final authority on story selection shall reside with the Advisory Board. GenBonds reserves the right to reject, suspend or withdraw non-compliant stories, without notice.

All qualifying story contributions and/or good ideas will be duly credited. However, we will always respect your privacy and seek permission before sharing or disclosing your name, stories or contributions.
Copyright and Publishing Rights

The copyright ownership of stories will remain with their principal originator and/or their next of kin.

The GenBonds project will have the right to share the stories via the GenBonds website, or through any other suitable and responsible medium that is deemed appropriate for sharing in order to fulfil the aforementioned community objectives.

GenBonds retains the copyright of the overall presentational and graphical elements and features.

The copyright owner shall have the right to withdraw or withhold their story at any time by sending in a written request to the GenBonds project team.
Privacy and Data Protection

The personal details that you provide when you register or contact GenBonds through this website include your first name, surname, email address, IP address (system detected), account password, along with a few optional details that make up your profile. This information is regarded as private and will never be shared with third parties unless we are required to do so by law.

The User ID that you choose when you register will be displayed should you post in the forum and comments sections of the website.

Your name may also be visible to others should you choose your name and other peoples' names, as well information of personal nature, to be cited in the story that you publish via the GenBonds website.

You must take all the necessary precautions to safeguard your login username and password. However, in the event that you have reason to believe that your login details have been inadvertently disclosed to a third party then you must notify GenBonds through the Contact Us section as soon as possible, so we may help you to reset and/or recover your account.
